Life in the Roanoke Valley

We believe where you live is just as important as what you do for a living. We selected Roanoke, VA, for our home office because this region offers an incredible mix of cultural, cost of living, overall lifestyle and career benefits that are hard to find anywhere else.

With its high quality schools and a lower than average cost of living, Roanoke is very family friendly and regularly receives awards and accolades for its high quality of life. The greater Roanoke area has a population of over 300,000 and maintains a quaint, small-town feel while offering many of the amenities of a larger city, such as a world-class art museum, great college and minor-league professional sports, a vibrant culinary scene with excellent restaurants, great live music venues, and a number of outstanding breweries, wineries, and distilleries.

But even with so much to offer, the overall cost of living in the Roanoke area is below the national average. In fact, as of 2018, Roanoke ranked third on Livability’s list of “Best Affordable Places to Live.”
